New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi today paid tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his demise celebration.
"My tributes to Pujya (respected) Bapu," he tweeted.
The Father of the Nation was killed on this day in 1948.
Mr Modi likewise paid tributes, on saints day today, to every one of the individuals who have set out their lives for the nation.
"On Martyrs' Day, I pay homage to each & every martyr who laid his or her life for our Nation. Their bravery & courage will always inspire," he included.
